Opportunities to Connect

Women's Small Group Bible Study

Tuesdays, September 19 - November 14

All day, every day, an invisible war rages around you. A cunning, devilish enemy seeks to wreak havoc on everything that matters to you - your emotions, your mind, your family, your future. This Bible study, "The Armor of God" by Priscilla Shirer will help you learn to be strong in the Lord through the study of Ephesians.

Join other women to connect with God and others on Tuesdays, September 19 through November 14, from 9:30-11:30am OR 6:30-8:30pm.

Cost is $35 for the morning study (childcare available) or $30 for the evening study (no childcare). Online registration is now closed; contact Kathy if you'd still like to attend.

Women of GPBC, you are invited to join us on Tuesday, November 14 at 9:30am to hear from Karen Snyder, one of our own homegrown global partners, AND get a jump start on Christmas. IF:Gathering 2018

February 9, 6pm-9pm and February 10, 9am-5pm
Student Center

GPBC will be hosting the IF:Gathering this year! The IF:Gathering is a free, two-day conference where women all over the globe come together via simulcast to wrestle with essential questions of faith and encounter God in a way that allows us to be unleashed to give Him away. You are invited to join us in the Student Center on the evening of February 9 and February 10to gather and experience IF together.

IF:Gathering 2018 will look at one of Paul’s letters to Timothy as Paul reminded him of the power and responsibility of sharing the Gospel. We want to give God away in the very places He’s put us, so we’re going to gather for the purpose of remembering why following God and making disciples matters. We all get tired. We all wonder if what we’re doing matters, so IF:Gathering 2018 will be the reminder--it will be the celebration. The work we’re doing to share the gospel on the earth is worth it, and God DOES move through the little things that nobody sees. Here’s a brief video to explain more about IF:

Our hosted location is open to other women in the Portland area to join us and attendance will be limited to 75, so we encourage you to go online and register as soon as possible.

Prayer Renewal Retreat

Our annual women's prayer renewal retreat is held at the DreamGiver’s Inn in Newberg each January. This is a weekend away in a place where Peace and Rest reside. Both guided and personal times of prayer and worship are included. We hope you can join us in 2018.

Retreat

"To Retreat" means to leave our normally occupied positions and GO to a place of safety, quiet and seclusion. By going to a retreat, we physically remove ourselves from life's distractions, the demands of people in order to make space for God. Even Jesus recognized the value and need to get away. Mark 1:35 Very early in the morning Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place where He prayed. The Women's Ministry Team provides an annual "Retreat" in the fall where women come to be refreshed, inspired, spend time with God and to each other. Check back for details.
