We desire to provide opportunities for women to encourage and support one another toward personal, spiritual and relational wholeness.
Opportunities to Connect
Women's Small Group Bible Study
Tuesdays, Starting January 16, 2018
9:30-11:30am OR 6:30-8:30pm
This January, we will be going through Experiencing God, by Henry Blackaby. This classic study will guide you to experience a relationship with God through which you will come to know and do God’s will by learning to recognize when He is speaking.
We’ll kick off the study with brunch (AM) or dinner (PM) together on January 16. Register in the lobby on Sundays or online at any time. The cost is $40/person for the morning or $35/person for the evening. Childcare available for morning study only.
Embrace: Making Minutes and More for Personal Relationship with Jesus
Women, do you struggle to “fit in” time with God? Has Bible reading and prayer become dull and routine? Join us on Saturday, January 20, 9:30am-2:00pm. You’ll find you’re not alone! Learn from others how they make time, what they do during that time, the benefits of making time, and how you can address the barriers to time with Jesus. We’ll have resources of local places to go and ideas for personal time with Jesus as well as time to practice embracing Jesus!
This event is open to all women, high school age and up. Cost is $5 and includes lunch. Register in the lobby on Sundays or online now. Questions? Contact Sandi Cox.
February 9, 6pm-9pm and February 10, 9am-5pm
GPBC will be hosting the IF:Gathering this year! The IF:Gathering is a free, two-day conference where women all over the globe come together via simulcast to wrestle with essential questions of faith and encounter God in a way that allows us to be unleashed to give Him away. You are invited to join us in the Student Center on the evening of February 9 and February 10to gather and experience IF together.
IF:Gathering 2018 will look at one of Paul’s letters to Timothy as Paul reminded him of the power and responsibility of sharing the Gospel. We want to give God away in the very places He’s put us, so we’re going to gather for the purpose of remembering why following God and making disciples matters. We all get tired. We all wonder if what we’re doing matters, so IF:Gathering 2018 will be the reminder--it will be the celebration. The work we’re doing to share the gospel on the earth is worth it, and God DOES move through the little things that nobody sees. Here’s a brief video to explain more about IF:
Our hosted location is open to other women in the Portland area to join us and attendance will be limited to 75, so we encourage you to go online and register as soon as possible.
Dates: February 9, 6pm-9pm. Coffee, tea and light snacks will be served. February 10, 9am-5pm. Coffee, tea and light snacks available in the morning. As we get closer to the event, we will send along details about lunch options
Register At: https://register.ifgathering.com
Childcare is unavailable.

* The IF:Gathering has generously made this conference available to all churches free of charge. However, there are significant costs associated with doing so. When you register, you will be given an opportunity to donate an additional amount to help offset the costs of producing this event, if you have means to do so. This is entirely optional and should not in any way impede you decision to join us! Your presence is the greatest gift!
"To Retreat" means to leave our normally occupied positions and GO to a place of safety, quiet and seclusion. By going to a retreat, we physically remove ourselves from life's distractions, the demands of people in order to make space for God. Even Jesus recognized the value and need to get away. Mark 1:35 Very early in the morning Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place where He prayed. The Women's Ministry Team provides an annual "Retreat" in the fall where women come to be refreshed, inspired, spend time with God and to each other. Check back for details.
