Women

We desire to provide opportunities for women to encourage and support one another toward personal, spiritual and relational wholeness.

Opportunities to Connect

Summer Bible Study

Tuesdays, June 20 - August 1
6:30pm - 8:00pm
Deschutes Room

Tuesday Night Women's Bible Study will be going through a video series from RightNow Media called Teach Me to Want beginning June 20 at 6:30pm in the Deschutes Room.

About the study: How do we reconcile the longings in our hearts with the God we're called to follow. In five sessions Jen Pollock Michel will take us on a brave journey our many desires, longings, and ambitions. With stories from real women and Jen we will dive into Scripture and ask what it means to desire as a Christian. Find out more by watching the preview below:

There is no cost for the study and no childcare will be provided. Have questions or want to sign up? Email Crystal Livingston.

Cultivating the Garden of Your Life

July 20 at 9:30am OR 6:30pm
Wachsmuth Home (11424 SW 47th Avenue, Portland, OR 97219)

Women, you are invited to come and meet other women from our faith community as you spend time in the Wachsmuth’s expansive garden. Children are invited, as well. There will be time for activities with your children like picking flowers and berries, as well as a time where the children will be cared for by a children’s ministry worker so you can spend time alone at the wide variety of stations around the home and garden. The cost is $2/person; please bring a snack to share as well.

Register now through July 16, either in the lobby on Sundays or by emailing .

PS - Joyce is willing to share her plants so you can enjoy them in your garden at home.

Prayer Renewal Retreat

Our annual women's prayer renewal retreat is held at the DreamGiver’s Inn in Newberg each January. This is a weekend away in a place where Peace and Rest reside. Both guided and personal times of prayer and worship are included. We hope you can join us in 2018.

Retreat

"To Retreat" means to leave our normally occupied positions and GO to a place of safety, quiet and seclusion. By going to a retreat, we physically remove ourselves from life's distractions, the demands of people in order to make space for God. Even Jesus recognized the value and need to get away. Mark 1:35 Very early in the morning Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place where He prayed. The Women's Ministry Team provides an annual "Retreat" in the fall where women come to be refreshed, inspired, spend time with God and to each other. Check back for details.

Small Groups

Come and connect with other women as we begin a six-week book study by Beth Moore called Living Free: Learning to Pray God’s Word. We will learn the practice of “breathing Scripture” by praying God’s Word and letting Him transform our hearts and minds. Following this study, we will move in to a six-week study in the book of Ruth on how to engage in relationships that are life giving.

The morning group began Tuesday, January 10, and meets from 9:30 to 11:30am. The evening group began Tuesday, January 24, and meets from 6:30 to 8:30pm. Childcare is available in the morning group only. Cost is $40 for the morning group and $25 for the evening group.

Find out more by contacting Judy Pinkerton for the morning group or Crystal Livingston for the evening group.
