presented by Dr. Lawrence Nelson, D , DACNB, Integrative Health Portland--Dr. Nelson will be talking about brain health, memory care, and will discuss lifestyle choices that influence memory and brain function. He will offer brain exercises, and inform us about the newest technology in testing, diagnosing, and treating memory care and other brain issues.
Matter of Balance: Managing Concerns About Falls
presented by Scott & Sue Goetchius, instructors at Canby Adult Center--Scott and Sue will emphasize practical strategies to manage falls. If you are concerned about falling, and interested in improving balance, flexibility, and strength, this seminar is for you.

presented by Lisa Critchlow, volunteer for Alzheimer’s Association--Lisa will explain the relationship between Alzheimer’s disease and dementia; examine what happens in a brain affected by Alzheimer’s; detail the risk factors for and three general stages of the disease; and identify FDA-approved treatments available to treat symptoms.
presented by Kristopher Kyes, Medical Programs Coordinator for ODOT--Kristopher will discuss the effect of aging on driving safety; signs that yourself or a loved one may need to consider their ability to drive safely; resources to assess driving ability.
