Women

We desire to provide opportunities for women to encourage and support one another toward personal, spiritual and relational wholeness.

Opportunities to Connect

Women's Small Group Bible Study

FOURTH SATURDAY WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDY
Beginning February 24 | 8:30-10:00am | Adult wing
Ladies, do you desire more connection with other women? Do you wish you could attend the Tuesday morning or evening Bible studies, but your schedule just won't allow it? Here's another option for you! On the fourth Saturday of each month, starting in February at 8:30am we'll gather for coffee and an hour of Bible study. We will study a different woman in the Bible each month and see how their stories speak to us today. No prep is needed, just a notebook and your Bible. Come as you are and enjoy connecting with other women as you study God's Word together.

WOMEN'S TUESDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY
Tuesdays | 9:30-11:30am | Adult Classroom Wing
When You Pray
April 2 - May 14

Do you have trouble thinking of words to say to God? Are you afraid some emotions are too intense to express? Do you reach the end of a day only to realize you haven't prayed at all? You're not alone. Prayer is the way we relate to God, but sometimes it's a struggle. In this 7-session study, we'll begin with a brunch then join six beloved Bible teachers who will help us study prayers in the Bible that can inspire our own. We'll learn that God welcomes our praise and lament, our thanksgiving and intercession. As we draw near to God through prayer, we'll find our faith strengthened and our hearts united to Christ.

Starting Tuesday, April 2, from 9:30-11:30am, in the adult class wing. Cost is $35. Register in the app or online. Loving childcare provided.

WOMEN'S TUESDAY  EVENING BIBLE STUDY
Tuesdays | 6:30-8:30pm | Clackamas Room
Better: A Study in Hebrews
January 9 - May 14

Study the book of Hebrews verse by verse with us and Jen Wilkin and discover how Christ fulfills and completes the work of angels, prophets, priests, and ceremonial laws, establishing a better covenant. Hebrews calls us to fix our eyes on the resurrected Christ as we run the race set before us. In Him alone we have hope and salvation. In this study we will explore how the entirety of Scripture points to Jesus Christ, discover the hope of the new covenant in Christ, and learn how to study the Bible verse by verse.

Cost is $25. Study goes through May 14. No childcare available. Contact Gina Smith, , for more information.

Register here or in the app.

Women's Spring Workshops

Saturday, April 20 | 9:30am-12pm | Adult Wing
Join us Saturday, April 20, for our 2024 Women's ministry Spring Workshops event from 9:30am to 12 noon. Continental breakfast provided. Two different workshops on how God has made you and pursues you. There is no cost to attend either workshop which will be offered concurrently, but registration is required so that we can plan accordingly.
Life Lessons and Experiences: A time of teaching and reflection on how God has used people and events to shape you. Identify patterns of God's pursuit of and work in your life through events and circumstances that have shaped your life.
The Enneagram, How God Has Wired You: The Enneagram is a tool to help you better understand yourself. It not only looks at your personality, but your inner motivations, fears and desires. It's different from other personality tests as it goes below the surface into what is really going on at the core of who you are. Our hope is that helps your personal growth, relational growth, and your growth with God. There are only 20 spots for this workshop.
No childcare is available. Registration deadline is Sunday, April 14. Questions? Contact Miriam Won at

Annual Women's Christmas Brunch

The 2023 Christmas Brunch was a terrific success, with a larger than anticipated crowd. Check back for details of the 2024 brunch as they become available.

Retreat

"To Retreat" means to leave our normally occupied positions and GO to a place of safety, quiet and seclusion. By going to a retreat, we physically remove ourselves from life's distractions, the demands of people in order to make space for God. Even Jesus recognized the value and need to get away. (Mark 1:35 "Very early in the morning Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place where He prayed.") The Women's Ministry Team provides  an occasional "Retreat" where women come to be refreshed, inspired, spend time with God and to each other.

Check back for the 2024 retreat details which will most likely be held in the fall.

Prayer Renewal

Special days of getting away from it all for special attention to prayer and connection to God are scheduled, normally annually.

Check later for the next scheduled event.
